William Molina

William Dario Molina, of Norwalk CT, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, February 20th at the age of 63. Born March 25, 1960 to Ruth Molina and the late Guillermo Molina in Medellin Colombia, he moved with his family to Norwalk, CT in 1965 where he resided until his passing. William was an athlete at heart and spent much of his youth playing basketball and baseball in leagues in his local community. He continued to be an athlete into his adult years at any opportunity, be it a work softball league or bowling with friends. His was an avid fan of the NY Yankees. William was a driver for Caldor and then Success Printing and was beloved by all at work and by everyone on his delivery routes. His warm demeanor, humor and thoughtfulness where evident to all who knew him and will be greatly missed. During his life William enjoyed the company of great friends and family. He will be remembered as someone who loved to dance and enjoyed many different styles of music, notably Cumbia, Disco, Salsa, Motown and one of his favorite songs entitled Carmenza. William loved to cook and took great pride when those he loved enjoyed what he made. He was a thoughtful man who had a gift for picking out the perfect presents for his loved ones. William’s laugh was contagious and he had a great sense of humor. He loved to spend an afternoon watching old movies or ESPN. Most importantly he had a love for the Lord. Among his favorite passages was Psalm 91 which reads in part: I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancée and partner of 30 years, Cheryl Rivera and her children whom he loved, Marisol Vigil (Frank) and Victor Askew (Nicole), his chosen grandchildren, Frank, Vanessa, Daniel, Alaysia and Aliyah, all who lovingly called him Tito, his sisters Marina Hernandez (Raul) and Diana Diez (Carlos), his niece Melanie Hernandez, and a host of family and friends. The family requests for those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a memorial donation to the American Heart Association in William’s name.
