Timothy McMichael

Timothy “Timmy” McMichael, 66, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the third son and sixth child of eleven children born to the late Joseph Jenning McMichael and the late Annie Mae Shell McMichael. Timmy was born on September 2, 1959, in Stamford, Connecticut. Timmy was known for his easy smile, his spirit and the way he made everyone feel welcome. He had a quiet strength—steady, dependable and always ready to lend a hand without being asked. He loved his family and took great pride in seeing his children and grandchildren grow. His kindness, loyalty and calm presence will be remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing him. In 1972, his parents moved the family from Stamford, CT to Cordova, SC, where he attended and graduated from Edisto High School in Cordova. After graduation, he returned to Connecticut. Timmy married Phyllis Brooks and together they had two children, Shaquanda and Timothy McMichael. Timmy was predeceased by his loving parents, his “baby” brother, Tommy McMichael and his grandson, Caution Roman. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis and children; Shaquanda McMichael of Brooklyn, NY; and son, Timothy (Kelle) McMichael, Jr. of Stratford, CT. children of the home, Marquita and Marcus Davis of Bridgeport, CT; grandchildren, Christopher Coleman, K’Din, Kier & Kash Thompson, McKenzie & Aubrey McMichael, Mylah Jendayl, Mielle & Mia Saunders; sisters: Lorene Martin of Bridgeport, CT; Annie (Thomas) Foust of Washington, DC; Delores (Charles) Kennerly and Bernette McMichael both of Stamford, CT; Debra McMichael of Norwalk, CT; Dr. Jacqueline S. McMichael of Bear, DE; Adrienne M. McMichael of Cordova, SC; brothers: Arthur McMichael of West Haven, CT and Johnny B. (Barbara) McMichael of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Carolyn McMichael of Bridgeport, CT; aunt, Dorothy Mae Johnson of Sylvania, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and childhood friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 19, 2025 from 11:00AM - 12:00PM followed by a service of celebration at 12:00PM at Graves Medley Funeral Services, 31 Stillwater Ave., Stamford, CT.
