Jimmie Lee Brown

Jimmie Lee Brown age 70, of Norwalk, CT, passed away peacefully at Norwalk Hospital on Friday, March 29, 2024. Jimmie was born on April 6, 1953 to the late Faith Brown Sr. and Cora Lee Davis in Marshallville, GA. He was predeceased by his two sisters and two brothers Azalean “Beanie” Barrett, Faith Brown Jr, Emory Brown, and Bertha “Duck” Brown. Jimmie relocated to Norwalk, CT in the 1970’s. He worked for a moving company for many years before retiring. He refound the love of his life and married Marjorie “Elaine” James in 2001. Jimmie committed his life to God in the late 90’s where he served under Prophet Sadie Lee Miles of House of Prophecies and Prayer church for many years. He later attended Faith Deliverance church under Reverend Ponce James Jr. where he was ordained as a Minister. Jimmie is known for his cool charm and his slick sayings. Also known as an “OG” to many. Jimmie had many life lessons to tell you and wherever he went he made sure to testify about his life and his many blessings and how God has delivered him through it all. There wasn’t a single person that Jimmie came in contact with that didn’t know his testimony word for word. During his final days, Jimmie was surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves to cherish his wife Marjorie Brown of Norwalk, CT. His children Jimmie Blunt of Stratford, CT, daughter Quintina Brown of South Carolina, daughter Tamieka Rogers of Perry, GA, daughter Shawntae Asberry of New Haven, CT, daughter Tamar Asberry of New Haven, CT and daughter Michaelle (Izeal) Wilson of Stratford, CT. He leaves to cherish his grandchildren, Jordan Asberry, Jonathan Outlaw, Derrus Leavitt, Davina Leavitt, Naquan Asberry, Aniya Harris, Zhaneja LaLanne, and Zoe Ann Chavis. He is survived by his brother Amos Brown of Norwalk, CT, Albert (Delores) Brown of Marshallville, GA and Catherine (Buster) Jackson of Marshallville, GA and a host of nieces and nephews and family. Visitation will be held on Saturday April 6, 2024 from 9:00AM- 10:00AM followed by a service of celebration at 10:00AM at House of Prophecies and Prayer Presiding Prophet Sadie Miles. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
