Elizabeth Louise (Bessie) Jackson Palmer-Bines Sunrise November 07, 1930 Sunset February 1, 2025 Elizabeth was born at Stamford Hospital to the late Eldridge and Ethel Jackson on Monday, November 07, 1930. Elizabeth’s mother passed away at an early age and she was raised by her Maternal Grandmother Louise Welch Robinson. Elizabeth received her education from Stamford Public School. Elizabeth graduated and received her High School Diploma from Stamford High School on June 15th 1945. Elizabeth was baptized at Union Baptist Church at an early age. In her early teens, Elizabeth joined Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. Elizabeth was one of the two last founders at F.T.M.B.C. Elizabeth was a Faithful Member for seventy-eight years and was affiliated with the following Ministries: Intermediate Choir, Frances Baxter Choir (aka) United Choir, Senior Choir (aka) Chanel Choir, Home Missionary Ministry, and the Annie M. Davis Scholarship Ministry. On December 20, 1953 Elizabeth married the love of her life, Shellie Palmer Jr. until his earthy departure on March 15, 1964. Fifteen years later, Elizabeth married James D. Bines Jr. whom she loved dearly on August of 1979 until his earthly departure on July 15, 2013. Elizabeth was a faithful member of Dorcas Chapter #14 Order of the Eastern Star, Prince Hall Association for over fifty-five years.and a past Matron of Dorcas Chapter. Elizabeth retired from Bristol Myers (aka) Clairol after twenty-eight years of service as an Order Processor. Elizabeth was predeceased by her mother Ethel Bland-Jackson, father Eldridge Jackson, Grandmother Louise Robinson, Brothers James and Walter Bland, Husbands Shellie Palmer Jr. and James D. Bines. Elizabeth is survived by Sisters Barbara and Kathy Jackson, Brother Eldridge Jackson Jr., Step- Daughter Joclyn Bines-Goss, Granddaughter/Goddaughter Lauren Joy Goss, Goddaughter Lisa Barrett, Sister in Laws Wanda Bynes, Pearl Bynes and Vivian Keels, Nieces Marcia and Valerie McNeil and Nephew Robert McNeil and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 6, 2025 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM followed by a service of Celebration at 11:00AM at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove St., Stamford, CT. Entombment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
