Roscoe Davis

January 23, 1937 - April 27, 2022

Roscoe Davis, age 85, transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on January 23, 1937 in Horry County, South Carolina to the late Oscar Davis and Lillie Mae Davis. Roscoe was married to the love of his life Emma Livingston Davis of Stamford, Connecticut. He attended Area Trade School in Denmark, SC and retired from Marshall Express Trucking after many years and served as a Real Estate Entrepreneur in Stamford for numerous years. Roscoe will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving husband, father, grandfather and a distinguished gentleman. His memory will be treasured by his devoted wife, Emma Livingston Davis, three cherished sons; Rocky Davis, Russell Davis and his wife Charmaine and Gene Kevin Davis, four adored grandchildren; Ashley Davis, Rocky Davis, Jr., Andre Davis and Gabriella Davis, his devoted cousin; Lawrence Donnely, two godchildren; Krystal Moody and Steve Wong, three brother in laws, two sister in laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by his sister, Aginteen Green. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 am at Bethel AME Church, 150 Fairfield Ave., Stamford, CT. with Rev. Dr. Robert A. Jackson, Jr. officiating. Entombment will take place at Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich.
