Robert Lee Davis Robert Lee Davis, 89, departed this life on November 16, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 3, 1929 in Shelby, North Carolina to the late Jessie Davis and Buck Lee. Robert was predeceased by his wife Ethel L. Ruffin Davis. He served honorably in the US Army and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupational Medal. Robert retired from Beiersdorf Inc. after numerous years of dedicated service. He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters; Sheryl Jordan Neal (Hasiem) and Debbie Davis King (Ray), two sons; Alvin Davis (Tracy) and Darryl Jordan (Denna), 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 8 great– great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Robert was also predeceased by sons Robert L. Davis, Jr. and Donald Montgomery, siblings Willa May Rice, Eloise Mueller, James Davis, Frank Davis and Jack Davis. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. followed by a service of celebration at Community Baptist Church, 174 Cherry St. New Canaan, CT with Rev. Daniel F. Hickman, Sr. officiating. Interment will take place on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, CT. Services entrusted to Graves Medley Funeral Services.
