Lois Geraldine Carlos

June 11, 1929 - March 3, 2021

Lois Geraldine (a.k.a. Geri) Carlos age 91, entered into eternal rest on March 3,2021 at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Geri was a resident at the Middlebrook Farms Long-Term Care Facility, located in Trumbull, CT. Geri was born on June 11,1929 in Norwalk, CT. to the late William (a.k.a. Jazz) Holsey and miss. Alice Holsey. However, Geri was raised by her paternal grandparents, Leroy and Rose Austell. Geri grew up in Norwalk, CT. and attended the Norwalk Public Schools. Geri was always a quiet but friendly person who enjoyed spending time at home. Geri also enjoyed reading. Thus, she became employed at the Stamford Public Library following employment as a Domestic Housekeeper. Geri's primary joy was the birth of her only child, William Barry Carlos, Sr. Geri devoted her time to raising and nurturing William (a.k.a. Barry). Her motto was; "Train up a child the way that he/she should go and they will not depart from their ways." As a result, the fruits of Geri's labor produced a remarkable son that any mother would be proud of! Geri raised Barry in the Bethel A.M.E Church. She remained a member until her passing. Geri was predeceased by her husband (Frank Carlos) and a younger sister (Lucille Holsey). She is survived by her son William Barry (Dr. Shirley) Carlos Sr.; grandson, probation Officer William Barry (Shanonda) Carlos, Jr. and granddaughter, Attorney Paige Carlos. She is also survived by three great grandchildren; Grace, Sophia and William Carlos, III as well as one sister; Geneva (Larry) Bentley, a very close cousin (Rosemary Stevens) plus other nieces and cousins. Visitation will be held Monday March 8, 2021 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM followed by a service of celebration at 11:00AM at Graves Medley Funeral Services, 31 Stillwater Ave. Stamford, CT. with Rev. Dr. Richard Wesley Clarke officiating.
