Jacquelyn L. Ruffin She was born on May 1, 1950 in Williamston NC, the daughter of the late Pearlie Williams and the late Mattie Moore. Jackie entered into eternal rest on January 1, 2022. Jacquelyn received her education from Martin County School District in Williamston NC and graduated from EJ Hayes High School, where she met her High School sweetheart Jesse M. Ruffin and married the love of her life of 52 years until his death in 2013. Unto this blessed union 2 children were born Melvette L. Ruffin and Melissa Ruffin. In 1969 Jacquelyn and Jesse relocated to Stamford CT where she continued her education in business at Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) and further her training as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Courtland Gardens / Cassena Care of Stamford where she was a faithful and devoted employee of 35 years, she was loving and passionate about the care of her patients until the time of her retirement in 2020. She loved her family and friends and was a nurturing and caring soul and a good listener who your secrets stayed safe with her, she touched so many lives in her own quiet and special way!! She was a member of Bethel AME. She loved traveling, cooking, praying, singing hymns, spending time with her family, and gardening!! Jacquelyn leaves to cherish her memories Melvette L. Ruffin (Courtney) of Stamford, CT, Melissa Alphonse (Jean Leroy) of New Canaan, CT, 3 Grandsons Jarred Ruffin, Jeremiah Ruffin of Stamford CT and Jesiah Alphonse of New Canaan, CT 2 honorary daughters Latrice Branch, Carole Marie Roche, 2 sisters Delores Williams-Mebane (Donald) of Brooklyn NY, Sandra Jenkins of Stamford, CT 1 brother Ronald Williams (Lorraine) of Long Island, 3 God daughters Lakieta Holder of Stamford, CT Dominique Ruffin of Norwalk, CT and Lavone Roberson of Norwalk CT, a special nephew Ricky Williams of Long Island and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jesse M Ruffin, her daughter Teya Ruffin, her sister Goldie Harris, Brothers Pearlie Williams Jr (Patty) and Ernest Williams. Calling hours will be held on Saturday January 8, 2022 from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. followed by a service of celebration at 10 a.m. at Graves Medley Funeral Services with Bishop Graves officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Stamford CT. where she will be laid to rest next to her Husband. Service arrangements entrusted to Graves Medley Funeral Services.
