Elton Davis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Elton Davis passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center at the age of 67. He was born on November 26, 1954 in Norwalk, Connecticut to the late Horace Davis, Sr. and Pearlena Whitaker Davis. He was previously employed with the Norwalk Housing Authority. Our dad was an amazing husband, father, brother and friend. If you knew Elton, you knew he “LOVED HIS DAUGHTERS” and cherished their mother Sharon Davis. Although his journey was rocky, it was also beautiful, one that gave us the gift of time to create more unforgettable loving memories with him. His grand entrance into heaven was beautiful, surrounded by as many family members that could accommodate his room. His strength and resilience amazed us daily. Our father knew without a doubt that he was our king, we love him very much. Sleep in peace Daddy and know that we are so proud of you. His memory will be treasured by his daughters; Tia Reid (Shawn) and Joy Solano (Mario), his devoted helpmate; Sharon Davis, six grandchildren; Tiffany Davis, Shawn Davis, Jaylin Reid, Shia Reid, Mario Solano and Madison Solano, three sisters; Valerie D. Wills (Oscar), Kathy Corley (Edward) and Paula Davis, two brothers; Dwight Davis and Charles Davis, his goddaughter; Tia McCrae, three aunts; Christina White, Phyllis Harrison and Barbara Snider (Lorenzo) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Elton was predeceased by his siblings; Horace Davis, Jr. and Ernestine Williams, three aunts; Roseanna McClendon, Thelma Williams and Mary E. McHoney. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 5:00 p m – 6:00 pm, followed by a service of celebration at 6:00 pm at Canaan Institutional Baptist Church, 31 Concord St., Norwalk, CT. with Rev. Roosevelt Ewell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elton may be sent to Graves Medley Funeral Services @ 203-323-2666 during the hours of 9:00AM - 5:00PM .Monday - Friday. Interment will be private.
