Annie S George

April 4, 1938 - June 2, 2022

Annie S. George, age 84, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2022 at Stamford Hospital. She was born on April 4, 1938 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Johnny Sketers and Mamie McCrae Carter. Mrs. George was predeceased by her husband Robert Lee George. She attended Beauty School and retired from ARI of Connecticut after numerous years of service. All who loved her dearly and will never forget her devotion, strength, grace and immeasurable love and caring for them. Her memory will be treasured by her daughter; Toya George, three sons; Ronnie George (Frances), John W. George and Jerome McPhearson, three grandchildren; Chanel M. George, Tayona N. Hudson and Breah T. Goethe, two great grandchildren; Mylah A. McKenzie and Jaxson Kerney, two sisters; Thelma Carter Washington and Margaret Josey, two brothers; Charles Sketers and Robert Carter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Annie was predeceased by her daughter, Laura Ann George, siblings; Margaret Mareno, Denise Carter, Vicky Carter, Frances Carter, Willie Carter, William Otis Carter, Lewis Watson, Lewis James Carter, James Carter and Van Carter. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am followed by a service of celebration at 10:00 am at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove St., Stamford, CT., Rev. Dr. Joseph G. Ford, Officiant. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Stamford.
