Thaddeus C. Holman Sr.

Deacon Thaddeus C. Holman Sr., transitioned peacefully on September 30,2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife. He was born April 2, 1932 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to Lonnie and Lucile Maple Holman. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and retired as a Limousine Driver for a private owner. He had a generous heart of gold, always kind and uplifting, cherishing his time with family, friends and church family. He was a hard worker and resilient in the face of adversity. Thaddeus was dearly and deeply loving to his wife, Thelma Todd Holman. He served with distinction and honor in the following Masonic capacities; Past Grand Master of the state of Connecticut P.H.A., Past Master of St. John’s Lodge #14, Past patron of Dorcas chapter number #14 Order of Eastern Star, P.H, A., Cyrus Chapter #6 Holy Royal Arch Masons P.H.A., Noble of Arabic Temple #40 Shriners, Heroines of Jericho State of CT, P.H.A., Rahab Court of #4 of Stamford, CT., Grand Inspector General New Haven Consistory #7, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, P.H.A. Deacon Holman was a devout member and officer of Community Baptist Church, New Canaan, CT. His memory will be treasured by his devoted wife Thelma Todd Holman, his son; Jonathan G. Holman ( Wardell), his cherished sister; Frances Holman, a chosen daughter; Ellen Venable (Thomas), three sister in laws; Helen Todd, Shelby Hughes (Fred) and Nancy Todd, adored grandchildren; Nakia Holman (Lillie), Greg Holman (Monica), Niki Sakina Holman and Dwayne Jeffries, great grandchildren; Shaveya Dantzler, Matthew Joseph Malachi, Marcellus Holman, Chase Holman, Xavier Holman, Makhi, Nasir and Zavion Foster and Natalia Holman, his precious stepchildren; Keith Todd, Karla Todd, Timothy Todd, Michael Todd and Tara Todd, his brother in law; Christopher Todd (Teresa and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sons; Thaddeus C. Holman, Jr., Timothy Holman and Kevin Holman, his brother; Johnny Holman and his sister; Lorine Holman. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 am at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT., Pastor Gilbert Burgess, Presiding Officer, Pastor Carleton J. Giles, Eulogist, Pastor Andre L. Bradley, host Pastor. Interment will be private.
