Kenneth Cedric Coker Sr

Kenneth Cedric Coker Sr. was born on July 23, 1966, in the South End of Stamford, Connecticut, to McKinley Coker and Geraldine Coker. His father was originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, and his mother from Morristown, Tennessee. He was raised in Stamford, where he developed the hardworking spirit and strong character that remained with him throughout his life. He believed in working hard and providing for his family. Throughout his life, he held several jobs, including working as a dishwasher, at Domino's and Staples, and as a limousine driver. He knew the roads well and could tell you how to get just about anywhere throughout Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Most notably, he dedicated 39 years of his career to Xerox, formerly known as Connecticut Business System (CBS), where he worked as a truck driver and warehouse supervisor. During his many years there, he traveled countless miles throughout New England and built lasting relationships with coworkers. His long career reflected the kind of man he was; dependable, committed, hardworking, and dedicated to providing for the people he loved. His life was deeply influenced by his love for Jehovah. He dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized on June 23, 2001 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a member of the Stamford West Congregation, where he shared in worship and fellowship with his spiritual brothers and sisters. His faith remained an important part of his life, and he found strength and hope in Jehovah's promises. Outside of work, Kenneth was a man of many talents. He had a natural ability with cars and could fix just about anything, making him the person family and friends often turned to when they needed help with their vehicles. He was also an excellent cook, especially known for his brisket, smoked meats, and grilling. Above all, his children and family were his greatest priority. He was a devoted father to Kennisha Coker, Kenneth Coker Jr.,Kiandra Coker, and Kenniece Coker. Providing for his children, being present in their lives, and watching his family grow were among the things that mattered most to him. Becoming a grandfather brought him even more joy, and he was a proud "Pops" to Joel Morris Jr., Ja'Siyah Morris, Kaiden Coker, Dominic Mason, and Giovanni Mason. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved mother, Geraldine Coker; his children and grandchildren; his siblings, Michael Coker and his wife, Deborah Coker; Tina Bailey and her husband, Ernest Bailey; and Heather Coker Owens and her husband, Jason Owens; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, spiritual brothers and sisters, coworkers, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, McKinley Coker, and his daughter, Kiandra Coker. Those who knew him will remember his laughter, sense of humor, and ability to bring joy wherever he went. He was a jokester who loved to laugh, enjoyed dancing whether he had the rhythm or not, and had an especially soft spot for children and babies. Kenneth Cedric Coker Sr. will be deeply loved, greatly missed, and forever remembered. His family will cherish his laughter and jokes, the meals he prepared, the help he was always willing to give, and the countless memories they shared with him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and memory will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Forever our Dad.
