Jermaine R. Henry

Jermaine R. Henry affectionately known as "Perky," was born on September 26, 1985, in Kingston, Jamaica to Shirley Duffus. At the age of six, Jermaine, along with his sister Kadian, migrated to the United States, where they settled in Stamford, Connecticut, with their mother. Growing up, Jermaine, Kadian, and their cousin Petagay were an inseparable trio. If you ever saw one, you could be sure the other two were not far behind. The bond between Jermaine and Kadian was one of deep love and mutual respect, a connection that remained strong throughout their lives. During his time at school in Stamford, Jermaine met the love of his life, Sonia Y. Orellana. As teenagers, they fell in love, and it was the beginning of a beautiful story. Their love deepened, and they were blessed with twin daughters, Tiana and Tatiana. Jermaine, Sonia and their entire family were overjoyed by the arrival of the twins. Together, they raised their daughters with the unwavering support of Aunt Kadian and grandmothers Shirley Duffus and Sonia I. Orellana. Jermaine was a devoted father who adored his girls, and they in turn cherished him. Tiana and Tatiana will forever hold the memories of caring for their father close in their hearts. Jermaine graduated from Stamford High School and was a loyal fan of the New England Patriots. He loved Chinese food, pizza, and turkey necks. He also enjoyed watching the Food Network and the Travel Network, with red and black being his favorite colors. Jermaine had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. He was deeply loved by everyone who knew him, including friends, coworkers, and his extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jermaine's passing is a profound loss to his family and all who knew him. He will be forever loved and missed. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. Jermaine is survived by his daughters, Tiana and Tatiana Henry; their mother (Sonia), his mother Shirley Duffus, his brothers O'Neil Cole and Damian Bennet, his sister Kadian Spence, and his brother-in-law (Andre Spence). He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Let us keep Tiana, Tatiana, and his devoted partner Sonia in our prayers as they navigate this challenging time. Jermaine's memory will continue to live on through them and all who loved him. Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 21, 2024 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM followed by a service of celebration at 11:00AM at Greater Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 27 Baxter Ave., Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery
